Blessings of Weddings and Renewal of Vows
Blessing of a Civil Service
This often takes place shortly after the Marriage service at the Register Office. In the service we ask for God's Blessing on the new Marriage and for his help in the years to come.
It is a wonderful joyous occasion reflecting that the legality has already taken place and the Bride and Groom come into church as a married couple. There are hymns with a Bible reading, a short talk with a reflection on the new Marriage as well as a time for prayers and confirmation of the vows just taken.

Renewal of Wedding Vows
There are many reasons why a couple may decide that they want to renew their marriage vows.
They range from a Civil Service in a Register office originally, some going back 50 years, others just a few. Some people decide that their vows mean more to them now because of a new Christian commitment, whilst others may decide that a service before their party will give it a lot more meaning.
As I said there are many reasons and we welcome all.
It is very meaningful to stand before your family and friends in a house of prayer and say to each other that you will love them through the good times and the bad times. The service has many of the features of a wedding with hymns and Bible reading and is a wonderful and often moving time.
