Messy Church

Our Messy Church meets at Sutton Court on the Second Saturday of every month between 2pm and 4pm. There is ample free parking

What is Messy Church?

  • It's an informal fun way of being 'church' for families together
  • It's found all across the world
  • It's for all ages and is based on creativity, hospitality and celebration together
  • it's a church not a craft club

What Messy Church isn't

  • It's not Sunday school or a church club
  • It's not a way to get you to go to the more formal sort of Church
  • It's not a craft afternoon with stories
  • It's not a place to leave unaccompanied children

What does messy Church do?

It's different at every session, but generally there are songs, activities, bible stories that everyone can take part in and we end with a shared meal.

All of our leaders are CRB checked and everyone is welcomed. Our Messy Church is funded by our three parishes but we do ask for a donation of £2 per child from those who feel they can afford it, just to cover the cost of food and materials.

You can find out more from Amanda Collier who leads our Messy Church on 01322 866 565 or 07914 757 595 or find the team on Facebook - 'Messy Church at MJM'
